Something for everyone at The Mill

The next few weeks at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury are chock-full of cracking events! Our February programme is packed with live music, family theatre and film, with a special series of events celebrating International Women’s Day.

Steve Norman – co-founder, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist of the world-famous cult band Spandau Ballet – brings his hugely successful sell-out show to Banbury, while the global phenomenon Dr Feelgood promise an incredible evening of live rhythm and blues.

Vintage music aficionados will love The Spitfire Sisters, an internationally acclaimed band performing a classic repertoire from the 1940s alongside modern songs with a vintage twist. Alternatively, get your swing on with “the best vintage band anywhere” (White Mink), the Shirt Tail Stompers.

Limehouse Lizzy – a tribute to Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy – have just completed their 26th year with their most explosive show yet! Along with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers tribute band Petty Criminals, these iconic acts are sure to deliver a night of classic rock.

For theatre lovers, a deliciously bawdy production bursting with song and dance is brought to The Mill by Banbury Cross Players. Nell Gwynn charts the rise of an unlikely heroine from her roots in Coal Yard Alley to her success as Britain’s most celebrated actress.

Bursting with physical comedy, absurd jokes and magical illusion, Once Upon A Time is a madcap farce. Anarchic comedy theatre at its best!

What if the wishes were granted? What if the magic were real? Perfect for younger audiences, Little Grimm Tales is an adventure for children aged 3+, featuring wonderful puppets, innovative theatre and spellbinding original music.

This year, The Mill is delighted to partner with Corse Concierge for International Women’s Day Banbury, a celebration of the fine ladies of Cherwell. Held annually on 8th March, International Women’s Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

We’ve curated a series of arts, community and business events inspired by great women throughout history. Visit the website for the full programme of events, including workshops, exhibitions, talks, speed mentoring and more.

Meanwhile, call in at our Café Bar for a Cotswold Coffee or a bite to eat from our delicious lunchtime menu! For details of our full programme, visit
