Probus, call to retired Banbury businessmen

The Banbury branch of a national club for retired businessmen is looking to recruit new members. The Probus Compton Club of Banbury, which meets monthly at the Whately Hall Hotel, is a forum for retired business people.

Chairman Roger Moore explains: “It can be a very lonely life when you retire from business – and our welcoming club is an ideal place to meet likeminded people who have often led very interesting careers. We have a variety of speakers at our monthly meetings which consist of six lunch meetings in the winter months and six early evening meetings in the summer months. In addition, we arrange a number of outings each year and have several social functions when partners are invited.”
There are also regular coffee mornings held in Banbury.

The club meets at the Whately Hall Hotel on the second Monday of the month. Lunchtime meetings start at 12pm and evening meetings at 7pm. For further information please contact the Probus co-ordinator, Peter Brown on 01295 262353 or committee member Bob Langton on 01295 670359.
