Launching into the New Year at The Mill

We’re kicking off the New Year with a new season at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury!

Fancy trying your hand at jewellery making, photography, watercolours, textiles, yoga, choir, or creative writing? How about an introduction to acting or burlesque? Our expert tutors will give you all the guidance you need for your new skill to blossom in our packed schedule of classes and workshops.

This January, experience the magic of the movies at The Mill with a screening of family favourite Toy Story 4, or blast out some Elton John with our Rocketman sing-along!

When attending a matinée film, like our January screening of Downton Abbey, make sure not to miss out on our afternoon tea offer in The Mill’s café before or after the screening, with tea and cake for two for £6.50.

We’re hosting some incredible musicians this month, raising funds for local and national charities. Named after the iconic 60s and 70s Banbury venue, Winter Gardens Revival have raised around £20,000 since 2011 for local charities, returning to The Mill with a collective of Banbury-based musicians.

Alternatively, let out your inner rocker with Rock for Heroes, a staggering rock concert raising money for Help for Heroes – or step back in time with the Sounds of the Sixties Show with The Zoots!

Theatre, comedy and variety acts are all coming up soon. Stellar magician Tom Brace comes to The Mill with his sell-out show Brace of Spades, while the “phenomenal” (The Scotsman) Mock the Week regular Maisie Adam embarks on her hilarious UK tour, Hang Fire.

Coming live to the theatre for the first time in over 60 years, The Navy Lark brings to life the much-loved radio series which originally featured Leslie Phillips, Dennis Price, Ronnie Barker and Jon Pertwee.

In February, the master of mayhem Tweedy returns to The Mill with the family mystery Tweedy Presents: The Missing Company of Sherlock Holmes.
