Aynho History Society – Rainsborough the Iron Age Fort.

Rainsborough Camp is an Iron Age hillfort near the village of Charlton. It has a defensive ditch with an earth embankment and was first occupied by Iron Age tribes during the 6th century BC. Excavations between 1961 and 1965 revealed more of its history. Who better to tell about Rainsborough and the discoveries made than Andrea Gladden who lives at Rainsborough Camp Farm which now encompasses the land on which it was constructed. Dogs for Good – Annual Craft Fair.
