Aynho History Society – Oxford Castle.

October 30 @ 7:30 pm

£2

Do you know the importance of Oxford Castle and Prison to the development of Oxford city and its University; what Geoffrey of Monmouth in the 12th century and the Black Panther killer in the 20th century have got to do with Oxford Castle and Prison; what happened in 1785 which involved a prison governor called Solomon Wisdom and a pile of dung??? Alistair Duncan a retired teacher and now tour guide at Oxford Castle and Prison not only answers these questions but also gives lots more intriguing and fascinating information. A talk not to be missed!

Any queries to Peter Cole on 01869 811261 or Keith McClellan on 01869 810346.
